Joe plays vibes and steel drum in several musical settings.  He leads “Raíces”, playing classic mambo and Latin Jazz in the style of Cal Tjader.  (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Trd4hd8bwdc).  Joe has recorded and performed with a number of local groups, “Poi Dog Pondering” among them.

Joe also plays congas, other hand drums, and a long list of percussion instruments in a variety of styles including jazz, Latin jazz, Zydeco, and more.
